5 Sports Venues to Visit Before You Die

Sports are interesting and everybody likes to watch a good sports game from time to time. And if rival teams are playing, you can be sure that the match is going to be a) a more interesting match than maybe your usual local match and b) a match supported by an enormous audience. While some people enjoy watching sports games and being in the audience, some people enjoy sports betting with Betting Apps. To each their own!

Visiting sports venues is something that most people were unable to do in 2020, and some were able to in 2021. Given that we are globally more immunized owing to the vaccine, 2022 should be a great year for visiting sports venues.

With that in mind, here are some of the must-visit venues before you die.

Wimbledon

Tennis is a popular sport and while not as popular as football, it is still popular enough that you should consider visiting the most iconic venue out there, Wimbledon. It has multiple courts, but the most famous of them all is the centre court. There is a dress code, so with that in mind, make sure to bring your white clothes, or predominantly white, if you want to spectate.

It is a great experience, particularly if you get to see matches deep in the tournament, the finals being the most interesting, most of the time.

Madison Square Garden

This venue is about as iconic as venues get. It is where most sports matches are played in New York, and also where most of the huge stadium concerts in the 70s and 80s took place in the United States. It is a venue with lots of history, with both sports and music. From hockey to basketball, boxing, wrestling to concerts, MSG is a venue that everybody should visit when they can.

Wembley Stadium

This is basically what you expect MSG to be, but in London. It has its own history of concerts and sports events, namely the Live Aid concert in 1985, which was held at Wembley stadium, at least the British side of the concert. Wembley was also home to the 2012 Olympics in London, as well as to many sports matches, whether European, World Cup matches, or the Champions League matches. It is also where some of the many Premier League matches are played. It is a venue one must see.

Beijing National Stadium

While most people criticize China and have something against the way they do their politics, one cannot argue against the Beijing National Stadium, a venue which not only looks beautiful but has also hosted the 2008 Olympic Games.

While it is a tourist location when not used, it will be used for the 2022 Winter Olympics. It can host 90,000 people, like most of the large venues on the list and should be visited if one is a sports fan and is around China.

Churchill Downs

This is another iconic venue, this time to do with horse racing. The Kentucky Derby is held here and has been for many years. If you want to witness horse racing history and culture, at least in the United States, this is the place to visit. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, this is a venue that has lots of history behind it, like most other venues on this list.

These have been the 5 sports venues to visit before we shuffle off this mortal coil.
